A vintage French brass carriage clock with a Bayard Paris eight-day mechanical movement, produced by Duverdrey & Bloquel of Saint-Nicolas-d’Aliermont. Its compact brass case, clear viewing panels and white dial make an attractive display on a mantelpiece, desk or shelf, with the movement visible through the case.

Maker’s Marks & Dating

• Dial signature: ‘BAYARD / PARIS / 8 DAY’, with ‘MADE IN FRANCE’ below the lower track.
• Rear door: recorded stamping ‘DUVERDREY & BLOQUEL / FRANCE’ on the inner brass housing panel.
  
• The existing attribution places the clock circa 1930s–1950s.
