A small Moorcroft earthenware vase in the Clematis pattern, with reddish-purple flowers and green foliage against a cream ground. The hand-painted, tube-lined decoration gives the floral design definition, making this compact vase an attractive accent for a shelf or display cabinet.

Maker’s Marks & Date

The base bears the marks ‘Moorcroft’ and ‘Made in England’, as confirmed during inspection. Previously dated to circa 1950, although the precise production date and attribution to the Walter Moorcroft period remain unconfirmed.

Condition

Pre-owned display condition, with fine glaze crazing. The floral decoration remains bright. We identified a small imperfection at the bottom during examination, and we also noted a small glaze imperfection near the top. The nature and cause of these imperfections have not been established; they are not described as confirmed factory flaws. The base is recorded as sitting flat.
